The Lampstand and the Olive Trees

Zechariah addresses both the first and second coming of Jesus. Chapter one through eight lay the foundation for the book of Daniel also a prophesy.

"And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep. And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof: And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof. So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying. What are these, my lord?

Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the WORD OF THE LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, "Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit saith the Lord of hosts. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. Moreover the WORD OF THE LORD came unto me, saying, The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of his house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.
The Two Prophets of God
Zechariah 4:14 refers to Revelation 11:4: "And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein. But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.
For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the land of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth. Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof? And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves? And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord. Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth." (Zechariah 4:1-14)
And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth. There are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth. (Rev.11:1-4)

The Psalms powerfully convey the feelings common to believers of all ages. They are intimately personal in that they explore the whole realm of human emotion: from deep despair to ecstatic delight but the general principle is a serene confidence in God's guidance and provision, just as David reassured himself by stating: "But I am like a green olive tree in the house of God: I trust in the mercy of God forever and ever." (Psalm 52:8)

Jeremiah's ministry was primarily that of judgment of Judah for it's sins. He was a type of Christ, persecuted by his own people and wept over the destroyed temple. "The Lord called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches are broken. (Jeremiah 11:16)

The Golden Gate, a familiar name in San Francisco, is not mentioned in the Bible but revered in Israel.

Israel is building a huge wall to keep its enemies out. The Bible speaks of the new Jerusalem with walls. 10 And he carried me away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, 11 Having the glory of God: and her light [was] like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; 12 And had a wall great and high, [and] had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are [the names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. 14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. 15 And he that talked with me had a golden reed to measure the city, and the gates thereof, and the wall thereof. 16 And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured the city with the reed, twelve thousand furlongs. The length and the breadth and the height of it are equal. 17 And he measured the wall thereof, an hundred [and] forty [and] four cubits, [according to] the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.

18 And the building of the wall of it was [of] jasper: and the city [was] pure gold, like unto clear glass. 19 And the foundations of the wall of the city [were] garnished with all manner of precious stones. The first foundation [was] jasper; the second, sapphire; the third, a chalcedony; the fourth, an emerald; (Revelation 21)

And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. (Revelation 22:12) Amen

And the building of the wall of it was [of] jasper: and the city [was] pure gold, like unto clear glass. (Rev. 21:18)

The Valley of Megiddo

8 He will swallow up death in victory; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the rebuke of his people shall he take away from off all the earth: for the LORD hath spoken [it]. 9 And it shall be said in that day, Lo, this [is] our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this [is] the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation.

10 For in this mountain shall the hand of the LORD rest, and Moab shall be trodden down under him, even as straw is trodden down for the dunghill. 11 And he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth forth [his hands] to swim: and he shall bring down their pride together with the spoils of their hands. 12 And the fortress of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, [and] bring to the ground, [even] to the dust. (Isaiah 25)

1 In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a strong city; salvation will [God] appoint [for] walls and bulwarks. 2 Open ye the gates, that the righteous nation which keepeth the truth may enter in. 3 Thou wilt keep [him] in perfect peace, [whose] mind [is] stayed [on thee]: because he trusteth in thee. 4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH [is] everlasting strength: (Isaiah 26)

what God has to say about it!

1 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof. 2 And it shall be, as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the lender, so with the borrower; as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. 3 The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken this word. 4 The earth mourneth [and] fadeth away, the world languisheth [and] fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish. 5 The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.

6 Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left. 7 The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all the merryhearted do sigh. 8 The mirth of tabrets ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth. 9 They shall not drink wine with a song; strong drink shall be bitter to them that drink it. 10 The city of confusion is broken down: every house is shut up, that no man may come in. 11 [There is] a crying for wine in the streets; all joy is darkened, the mirth of the land is gone. 12 In the city is left desolation, and the gate is smitten with destruction. 13 When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, [there shall be] as the shaking of an olive tree, [and] as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done.

14 They shall lift up their voice, they shall sing for the majesty of the LORD, they shall cry aloud from the sea. 15 Wherefore glorify ye the LORD in the fires, [even] the name of the LORD God of Israel in the isles of the sea. 16 From the uttermost part of the earth have we heard songs, [even] glory to the righteous. But I said, My leanness, my leanness, woe unto me! the treacherous dealers have dealt treacherously; yea, the treacherous dealers have dealt very treacherously. 17 Fear, and the pit, and the snare, [are] upon thee, O inhabitant of the earth. 18 And it shall come to pass, [that] he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and he that cometh up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare: for the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth do shake.

19 The earth is utterly broken down, the earth is clean dissolved, the earth is moved exceedingly. 20 The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again. 21 And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the LORD shall punish the host of the high ones [that are] on high, and the kings of the earth upon the earth. 22 And they shall be gathered together, [as] prisoners are gathered in the pit, and shall be shut up in the prison, and after many days shall they be visited. 23 Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed, when the LORD of hosts shall reign in mount Zion, and in Jerusalem, and before his ancients gloriously. (Isaiah 24)

1 O LORD, thou [art] my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful [things; thy] counsels of old [are] faithfulness [and] truth. 2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; [of] a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. 3 Therefore shall the strong people glorify thee, the city of the terrible nations shall fear thee. 4 For thou hast been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones [is] as a storm [against] the wall. 5 Thou shalt bring down the noise of strangers, as the heat in a dry place; [even] the heat with the shadow of a cloud: the branch of the terrible ones shall be brought low. 6 And in this mountain shall the LORD of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined. 7. And I will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the veil that is spread over all nations.

Notice even here the Lord brings up the olive tree referring to Israel as we have discovered. When thus it shall be in the midst of the land among the people, [there shall be] as the shaking of an olive tree, [and] as the gleaning grapes when the vintage is done. (Isaiah 24:13)
This refers to the harvest of believers as He also makes a way for them in these Scriptures as devastating as they are.

The Lord states in Isa 24:18 "And it shall come to pass, [that] he who fleeth from the noise of the fear shall fall into the pit; and HE THAT COMETH UP OUT OF THE MIDST OF THE PIT SHALL BE TAKEN IN THE SNARE: FOR THE WINDOWS FROM ON HIGH ARE OPEN, and the foundations of the earth do shake. (Isaiah 24:18)

There was another instance when the windows of heaven were open in Genesis 7:11 to remind us of what is going to happen during this time:

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. 12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. 13 In the SELFSAME DAY entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark; (Gen.7:11-13)

Jesus also referred to the days of Noah and said: "..so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. (Matthew 24)
Jesus was referring to the Rapture which also occurs simultaneously with the onset of the Tribulation.

Several incidences occured recently, one in Israel and one in Afghanistan, people were celebrating weddings ending in bloodbaths which should serve as reminders of these Scriptures.

Our subject is Armageddon the great battlefield referred to in the Bible once.
And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon. (Revelation 16:16)
Armageddon is described to be Megiddo an ancient city in Palestine discovered by American Archaeologists in the 1930s. The city existed in 2000 B.C. Other battles fought here are described in Judges 4:5 and 2 Kings 23:29,30.

What is developing now is very interesting because it points to some facts in the Bible about the time just before the Tribulation begins. The United States has opted out of the International Court Tribune as well as three other countries, Iraq, Libia and Sudan.

So far we know that the world is in a New World Order which is also called globalism which requires world leadership and world government. It is becoming a reality in front of our eyes day by day and President Bush has been called the world leader of the super power.

Three events which are still missing. This first of these three is the uprooting and destruction of three horns (nations) by the little horn which comes up out of the ten horns.

23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom [are] ten kings [that] shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. 25 And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. 26 But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy [it] unto the end. (Daniel 7)

The Scripture, A TIME AND TIMES AND THE DIVIDING OF TIME refers to the Tribulation depicted by the feet of iron and clay.

And I heard the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these [things] shall be finished. (Daniel 12:7)

In Hebrew 6387 p*lag; is an Aramaic term equivalent to the word desribed by 6386 P*lag which corresponds to a single occurrence in the Bible in Daniel 2:41:

And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. (Daniel 2:41)

It refers to 6385 Palag; this root means to split, divide, be divided, to make discordant.

Today it is crystal clear what God meant by iron and clay. Jesus plans to rule with a rod of iron [righteousness]. Clay has to be the opposition to our Savior Jesus Christ, who represents Israel and Gentiles who are baptized by the Holy Spirit.

And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: (Isaiah 11:1) And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her [that had been the wife] of Urias; (Matthew 1:6) So all the generations from Abraham to David [are] fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon [are] fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ [are] fourteen generations. (Matthew 1:17) Mary, Jesus's mother was out of King David's line.

The clay has to be the Islamic Jihad which is creating the apostasy today to get peace in the world. People are capitulating to Allah to create the New World Order. The issue of pledging allegiance to the American flag is in the middle of it because some people are beginning to wake up to the fact that their God is a triune God namely, the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost and cannot be lumped with a Masonic, generic god who is a universal god.

Talk shows are working overtime using brainwashing tactics to change the heads of Americans to think like the "Christian Right" thinks. By the way, the "Christian Right" is not truly Christian because they accept a plurality of gods. They are taking what Jesus called, the broad road in Matthew 7:13 to get unity at all cost to win their worldwide kingdom.

Demoralizing is the tool used by Scientologist, est trainers and others to take out belief systems. If you have noticed believers are called extremists, prejudiced or unpatriotic. People in the media would prefer that people lie about their sexual life styles go back to hiding in closets and lie about what they believe so we can have a unified patriotic society. That in itself should be a wakeup call as to who the social engineers are.

The separation is taking place right now visibly and those who cannot comply will find themselves without a country. That is how close we are to the Rapture and Armageddon.

The ten toes represent the ten kings described in Daniel 2:41, 42 are not the European Union. "And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters' clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. 42 And [as] the toes of the feet [were] part of iron, and part of clay, [so] the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. (Daniel 2)
The ten toes describe the ten world regions. The Americas are becoming one region. Offending God is not the answer. He hates hypocrisy but God wants us to be good citizens while we are here.

And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel

Taking a close look at this symbol we see a horoscope. The circle with the dot in the middle is still used today. The book, ' Morals and Dogma' The Lodge of Perfection, by Albert Pike, 33 degree Mason, states that a point in a circle is the symbol of the Sun. A point in the center of the Great Light. It also expresses the union of two great Causes. p.149 The point in a circle is also described on page 401: "the two Divinities, the Active and Passive Principles of the Universe, were commonly symbolized by the generative parts of man and woman; to which, in remote ages, no idea of indecency was attached; the Phallus and Cteis, emblems of generation and production, and which, as such, appeared in Mysteries. The Indian Lingam was the union of both, as were the boat and mast and the point within a circle: all of which expressed the same philosophical idea as to the Union of the two great Causes of Nature.." The two great Causes is their god. Note he capitalized words which relate to their god. The Babylonians carved a penis to make sure people understood the symbol related to the craft.

Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. (Matthew 23:28) And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, and Erech, and Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. (Genesis 10:10) And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech. (Genesis 11:1)

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top [may reach] unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth. (Genesis 11:4) And the LORD said, Behold, the people [is] one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do. (Genesis 11:6)

7 Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. (Genesis 11)

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth. (Genesis 11:9) The Tower of Babel was located in Babylon.

At that time the servants of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against Jerusalem, and the city was besieged. (2 Kings 24:10) And all the vessels of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the LORD, and the treasures of the king, and of his princes; all [these] he brought to Babylon. (2 Chronicles 36:18) And this [is] the reason of the levy which king Solomon raised; for to build the house of the LORD, and his own house, and Millo, and the wall of Jerusalem, and Hazor, and Megiddo, and Gezer. (1 Kings 9:15)

The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see. (Isaiah 13:1)

And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, [with] a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground. (Isaiah 21:9) Yea, ye took up the tabernacle of Moloch, and the star of your god Remphan, figures which ye made to worship them: and I will carry you away beyond Babylon. (Acts 7:43)

Moloch refers to Molech in the Encyclopedia. He was considered to be a Cannanitish god of fire to whom children were offered in sacrifice [could this be referring to the Palestinian children ]. Both Solomon and Ahaz were said to have introduced this worship. See Lev. 18:21, 20:2; 1 Kings 11:7, 2 Kings 23:10; Jer. 32:35.

Then said he unto me, The iniquity of the house of Israel and Judah [is] exceeding great, and the land is full of blood, and the city full of perverseness: for they say, The LORD hath forsaken the earth, and the LORD seeth not. (Ezekiel 9:9)

And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: (Revelation 17:4)

And upon her forehead [was] a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH. (Revelation 17:5)

6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. 7 And the angel said unto me, Wherefore didst thou marvel? I will tell thee the mystery of the woman, and of the beast that carrieth her, which hath the seven heads and ten horns. 8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is. (Revelation 17)

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast. 13 These have one mind, and shall give their power and strength unto the beast. 14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful. 15 And he saith unto me, The waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples, and multitudes, and nations, and tongues. 16 And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. 17 For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled. 18 And the woman which thou sawest is that great city, which reigneth over the kings of the earth. (Revelation 17)

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. (Revelation 18:2)

The Scriptures in Revelation relate to what is happening in the end time. To help us understand what the word Babylon really stands for, let's study the word according to Stron's Exhaustive Concordance. In Hewbrew the Old Testament the #894, #895 and the New Testament #897.
#894 refers to the word Babel and Babylonia. It is derived from #1101 Balal; to pore over, to anoint, to confound, overflow with oil, to mixing oil and flour. It is derived from #1098 belyl mixed feed (i.e. for cattle). #895 Babel also and corresponds to #894. In the New Testament #897 is Babulon, of the Hebrew word #894 as a type of tyranny.

The Mystery Babylon refers to "For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth [will let], until he be taken out of the way. (2 Thessalonians 2:7)

Speaking of the two prophets: And their dead bodies [shall lie] in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. (Revelation 11:8) And there followed another angel, saying, Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication. (Revelation 14:8)
And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath. (Revelation 16:19)

And the kings of the earth, who have committed fornication and lived deliciously with her, shall bewail her, and lament for her, when they shall see the smoke of her burning, (Revelation 18:9)
For true and righteous [are] his judgments: for he hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of his servants at her hand. (Revelation 19:2)

Mystery #3466 Musterion, a person initiated in sacred mysteries (which in turn is derived from muo' to close or shut; namely, the lips or eyes). It is referred to as a locking up or that which serves for locking up in Class. Gr. usually in the pl. ta mysteria, the mysteries, as denoting secret politico-religious doctrines, especially of the Eleusinian Mysteries wherein some secret information communicated to the initiated was in turn to be kept secret. It denotes in general something hidden or not fully manifest. 2 Thessalonians 2:7 speaks of the "the mystery of lawlessness" which began to work in secret but was not then completely disclosed or manifested. [Lexical Aids of the New Testament p.1739]

At this point it's not a secret that there is a conspiracy which will cause the downfall of all nations.
